- Hi All,
-
- I've just gone and installed the Emplant MacPro V1.2 software, and, joy of
- joys, the RetinaZ3Video driver (the one that allows you to select video
- modes for the control panel in up to 24bit) works! This bit is good!
-
- However, I do not get the range of colour depths and resolutions I'd expect.
- Currently I can choose between:
-
- - 640x480 in 256, Thousands, and Millions of colours
- - 1024x768 in 256 colours
- - 1280x1024 in 256 colours
-
- Has anyone else managed to get any other modes? I would expect to also be
- able get:
-
- - 800x600 in 256, Thousands, and Millions of colours
- - 1024x768 in Thousands, (and possibly Millions) of colours
- - 1152x862 in 256 and Thousands colours
- - 1280x1024 in Thousands of colours
- - 1600x1200 in 256 colours
-
- Now I know several of these modes would have to be interlaced, but I can use
- them on my Amiga, and the appear in group files within the Retina Monitor
- definitions... so should be available for the Emulation. All the "direct
- draw" modes (the ones that give a fixed screen resolution in 256 colours,
- such as `RetinaZ3_1024x768' etc. work fine).
-
- Any suggestions, experiences, of commentary on the above would be gratefully
- appreciated!
-
- Cheers,
- Alex...
